Construction Safety Case: Pavilion KL Project

Liew Wei Lun, son of Liew Wan Chew (died on the spot), said: "My father had complained many times of the defects and there were several near misses."

The gondola was carrying workers and marble tiles which probably was overloaded, beyond it’s design capacity and the safety features either did not work or was also beyond it’s capacity to restrain.

Gondolas were never meant to carry building materials except for some light materials and tools.

How is it that the cable quality had not been regularly check?

Safety is so lax and workers are so insecure.
